KINGSTON, Jamaica – In an exhilarating display of football prowess, Jamaica’s Under-14 team continued their impressive unbeaten streak in the 2024 CFU Tier 1 Group A U-14 Challenge Series by overpowering Aruba with a commanding 5-0 victory in their semi-final match. The game took place on Tuesday at the Dwight Yorke Stadium in Tobago, marking yet another milestone in the young ReggaeBoyz’s exceptional run in the tournament.

Corlando Morris, a standout player throughout the series, once again led the offensive charge for Jamaica. He opened the scoring by netting the team’s first two goals, bringing his tally to three out of four games in which he has found the back of the net. Morris showcased his accuracy and finesse by scoring in the 22nd minute and then converting a free kick from just outside the 18-yard box in the 29th minute. His consistent performance has been pivotal, including in Monday’s crucial 2-0 win over hosts Trinidad and Tobago.

Davian Clarke further secured Jamaica’s lead by scoring the third goal in the 32nd minute. The young ReggaeBoyz demonstrated their aerial prowess in the 59th minute when a looping header soared over the Aruban goalkeeper’s gloves and dipped under the crossbar to make it 4-0. Kelvin Brown capped off the dominant performance by scoring the fifth and final goal in the 67th minute, sealing the comprehensive victory for Jamaica.

The young ReggaeBoyz’ defense also shone brightly, maintaining a clean sheet throughout the tournament so far, having not conceded a single goal in their four-game unbeaten streak.

As the team marches onward with aspirations of securing the championship, their cohesion, talent, and strategic play have firmly established them as a force to be reckoned with in the 2024 CFU U-14 Challenge Series.
