Gyptian.

International recording artiste Gyptian is excited about his latest release,
In the Dark, where his smooth vocals combine with a groovy bass line.

“This song is about longing and desire. The whole vibe of the track is about creating a sensuous atmosphere fit for a romantic evening, a great song to set an intimate mood. Big up to the producer Anthony Taylor and Spot On Records for the work he did in bringing this song to life,” Gyptian said.

The single will be released on producer Anthony Taylor’s Spot On Records label and Mek Cents Entertainment on September 27 via VPAL, a subsidiary of VP Records.

Spot On Records last released the Tears rhythm project which included Gyptian’s
Can’t Get Enough, which racked up over 20,000 streams in the first month of its release in August 2024 via VPAL.

Other artistes on the rhythm project included Karbon, Laden, Shane O, Teflon, Nickoblast, Papa Jack, Dan Andi, and Flank KO.

The indie label Spot On Records has carved out a decent reputation as a successful independent label in the dancehall and reggae market. The label has scored hit songs such as Bayka and NSG’s Truth, which has racked up over a million streams on Audiomack. Other hit songs include Chronic Law’s Diamond and the hard-hitting
Reality, both of which racked up thousands of views and reached Trending status on the Audiomack platforms.

In 2010, the global impact of Hold You launched Gyptian to international fame, transforming him from a modestly followed artiste into a reggae sensation. The song eventually reached a peak of #77 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart.

He is also known for songs such as Mama and Serious Times, which showcased his smooth voice and poignant messages.

Gyptian has released five albums, with his fourth album, Sex, Love & Reggae, entering the Billboard Top Reggae Albums charts at #1 in October 2013.
