MIAMI, Florida — A bright future awaits three young Caribbean professionals as they join C&W Communications’ distinguished graduate programme, designed to cultivate leadership and industry expertise. Representing their respective countries, Jamar Salmon from Jamaica, Joshua Walters from Barbados, and Sherene Soochit from Trinidad and Tobago, have been chosen for this highly selective initiative.
Jamar Salmon, a proud alumnus of the University of the West Indies (UWI), Mona, has been assigned to Flow Jamaica, a division of C&W Communications. For Salmon, this opportunity is nothing short of a “dream come true.”
“The C&W Communications’ graduate programme is second to none,” expressed Salmon. “The opportunities and resources that the company will invest in me will undoubtedly enable me to develop as a leader, both professionally and personally. I’m excited about exploring opportunities in product creation and business analysis.”
Salmon recently graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in Management Studies and Tourism Management from UWI and holds additional certification in financial investments from Bloomberg Education.
Vice President of People at C&W Communications, Dom Boon, shared the company’s enthusiasm about the new intake of graduates. “We are thrilled to welcome the third cohort of graduates as we nurture and develop the next generation of leaders within the industry,” Boon stated. “The graduate programme reflects our commitment to investing in emerging talent in the Caribbean region by providing these young professionals with the tools, resources, and guidance to excel in their individual career paths.”
Boon continued, “We are doing our part to ensure that these talented young professionals can embrace future leadership roles in the business.”
C&W Communications’ graduate programme targets recent university graduates with less than two years of work experience, focusing on individuals who demonstrate potential for rapid career progression. Over a span of 24 months, participants will tackle a series of challenging projects, engage in immersive learning workshops, and receive mentorship, all designed to prepare them for managerial positions.
These new recruits join eight other graduates from C&W Communications’ sister companies across Costa Rica, Panama, and Puerto Rico, as the company continues to foster a diverse and dynamic leadership pipeline throughout the region.
As they commence their journey with C&W Communications, all eyes will be on these promising professionals as they set out to make significant strides in the telecommunications industry.
