TRELAWNY, Jamaica — Trelawny Parish was the site of two fatal crashes on the North Coast Highway Friday, resulting in three deaths.
The victims have been identified as Devlor Samuels, 48, of Chatham, St. James; Julian Patrick, 49, of the Friendship area in Trelawny; and Linwall Adlam, 48, of Bunkers Hill.
The first accident occurred around 7:10am on Coral Springs Road when Samuels, driving a Toyota Voxy, collided with a Toyota Wish that was entering the main road from a side street. Following the collision, the Toyota Voxy veered onto the wrong side of the road and crashed into a bus stop. Samuels and his passenger were taken to the hospital, but Samuels was pronounced dead. The driver of the Toyota Wish was uninjured and may face charges.
The second crash happened around 11:30am when a Toyota Voxy, attempting to overtake on the Duncans Bypass, collided head-on with a Toyota Corolla. Julian Patrick, the driver of the Corolla, and his passenger, Linwall Adlam, were pronounced dead at the hospital. The driver of the Toyota Voxy sustained multiple injuries and is receiving treatment.
Investigations into both incidents are ongoing.
