Mingle’s Bar and Lounge at the Courtleigh Hotel can be accessed via a dedicated entrance on Knutsford Boulevard or via the walkway leading from the Jamaica Pegasus Hotel car park. The Bar and Lounge is open Monday to Saturday from 5pm to 11pm.
The indoor boutique bar features charming old-world décor that extends to the design covers of the menu. A wide selection of classics is available, including house wines such as Hardy’s VR Merlot, sparkling wines such as Santa Margherita Prosecco, Champagne Rosés such as GH Mumm Grand, white wines such as Kim Crawford Sauvignon Blanc, red wines such as Meiomi Pinot Noir, and cocktails such as the Negroni (gin) and Paloma (a grapefruit tequila-based cocktail). Guests can choose from the bar menu by the glass or bottle. All prices are in US dollars and are subject to 15 percent government tax and 10 percent service charge.
The bar menu also offers food options. I chose the pumpkin cream soup as an appetizer/starter. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with the thickness of the soup. It was very thick and unpalatable. Nevertheless, me and my guest ordered one cocktail and one mocktail and ended the evening with a surprisingly high bill. This restaurant has great potential and I look forward to future improvements that have been promised in response to my feedback.
