PARIS, France — US rapper Snoop Dogg will be one of the torchbearers for the 2024 Paris Olympics, marking his final tour before the Games’ opening ceremony. The Olympic flame will travel through Saint-Denis, a northern Paris suburb where the Olympic stadium and aquatic centre are located.
Snoop Dogg, 52, will join other notable figures including French actress Laetitia Casta, French rapper MC Solar, and retired Ukrainian pole vaulter Sergey Bubka in carrying the torch. The relay will cover France over two months, passing through athletes’ villages in Saint-Denis and Saint-Ouen, and concluding at the Olympic venues.
In addition to participating in the torch relay, Snoop Dogg will also serve as an Olympic commentator for US television station NBC.
