ST MARY, Jamaica – Patrons at the St Mary MI Come From stage show held at Gray’s Inn in Annotto Bay were shocked to learn that six motor vehicles were stolen from the venue in the early hours of Tuesday morning. The thefts occurred between 1 a.m. and 5 a.m., according to the St Mary police.
Constable Marlon Garriques, the investigating officer, reported that the vehicles were taken from outside the designated parking area along Gray’s Inn main road, close to the event venue. Despite the presence of security personnel, the criminals managed to execute the thefts without immediate detection.
“I don’t want to say much, but the criminals were smart in what they were doing,” Constable Garriques said.
The stolen vehicles include a Toyota Mark X, a Nissan Sylphy, two white Toyota Voxy buses, a Honda Fit, and a Toyota Wish. Notably, one of the buses contained valuable items, including jewelry, a passport, and $7,000 in cash.
While one of the vehicles was recovered on Tuesday morning in St Catherine, no arrests have been made. The Annotto Bay police continue to investigate the incident.
This news highlights the need for enhanced security measures during large public events to prevent similar incidents in the future.
