Sean Combs Faces New Accusations Amid Mounting Legal Troubles
New York, United States (AFP) – Music mogul Sean Combs, known to many as "Diddy," is facing a slew of fresh allegations, including disturbing claims involving the molestation of a minor. These new lawsuits come on the heels of Combs’ recent arrest on federal sex trafficking and racketeering charges, as reported by his legal defense team on Monday.
In Manhattan, a series of federal civil complaints were anonymously filed, involving both women identified as Jane Does and four men listed as John Does. These allegations, which span from 1995 to 2021, add to the growing chorus of accusations against the 54-year-old artist and entrepreneur.
Texas attorney Tony Buzbee, representing the plaintiffs, previously announced a surge of legal actions from over 100 alleged victims. He reiterated the commitment to submitting additional cases, stating, "We expect to be filing many more cases over the next several weeks naming Mr. Combs and others as defendants as we continue to gather evidence and prepare the filings."
Among the newly filed suits is an accusation that Combs sexually assaulted a male minor aged 16, fondling him at one of Combs’ iconic white parties in the Hamptons in 1998. The lawsuit details how Combs allegedly manipulated the teenager with promises of breaking into the music industry.
These lawsuits, invoking the Victims of Gender-Motivated Violence Protection Act, represent another chapter in Combs’ unfolding legal challenges. Already, Combs is embroiled in numerous civil disputes over similar allegations, which federal authorities supplemented last month with three criminal counts, alleging sexual abuse and the orchestration of drug-induced parties with coerced participation using intimidation and violence.
Denied bail due to concerns of possible witness tampering, Combs has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His criminal trial is scheduled for May 5, 2025, with prosecutors signaling the potential for new charges as further evidence is assessed.
The allegations against the Grammy-winning artist have intensified since late last year, when singer Cassie, born Casandra Ventura, accused Combs of over a decade of coercion through physical force, drugs, and a 2018 rape incident.
As investigations continue and legal proceedings loom, the once-revered music icon’s world is rapidly disintegrating under the weight of serious accusations from numerous victims.
