The recently concluded Guinness Sounds of Greatness (GSOG) Sound Clash has left a lasting impact on the sound clash community, with RockWildaz and Simple Touch emerging as the co-winners of the prestigious competition. The journey to victory was not an easy one, but both teams have proven their talent, determination, and love for music.

RockWildaz, represented by DJ Danejah and DJ Kre Kre, and Simple Touch, led by DJ Axy, DJ Levon, and manager Clive Robinson, have come together to celebrate their shared triumph. The exposure from the GSOG competition has not only boosted their visibility within the industry but has also opened doors for new opportunities, collaborations, and bookings.

Reflecting on their journey, DJ Danejah of RockWildaz expressed gratitude for the platform that the competition provided. Both sound systems have roots in communities where music is a way of life, and their passion for music has driven them to pursue their dreams relentlessly.

For Simple Touch, the dream of becoming DJs was nurtured from an early age, inspired by the music that surrounded them in Carlisle, Red Bank, St Elizabeth. Similarly, RockWildaz, with origins in Central Village, Big Lane, Spanish Town, St Catherine, faced challenges and unpaid gigs in the beginning but remained steadfast in their pursuit of a career in music.

The road to victory in GSOG 2024 was marked by intense preparation and strategic execution. Both teams worked tirelessly to showcase their talent and prove themselves as top-tier sound systems. The experience of competing in the GSOG tournament has been invaluable for their growth and development as artists.

As they look towards the future, RockWildaz and Simple Touch offer advice to aspiring DJs, emphasizing the importance of believing in oneself, hard work, consistency, and stepping out of one’s comfort zone. They are committed to making strategic moves to solidify their presence in the clash arena and are excited about the opportunities that lie ahead.

RockWildaz and Simple Touch are ready to embrace the new chapter that their victory has brought, with a renewed sense of purpose and a desire to inspire the next generation of sound clash champions with their passion and dedication to music.
