Reggae music newcomer Richard “Koulie” Glass IV is on a mission to spread positivity and create a lasting impact with his music. The Miami, Florida-born singer recently collaborated with reggae legend Sizzla Kalonji on the track Rockers, a modern rendition of Jacob Miller’s reggae classic We A Rockers.
Produced by Paul Kastick and released by Groove Gallore Muzik and Vpal Music in July, Rockers has been receiving widespread airplay both locally and internationally. This track marks Koulie’s official studio debut, inspired by his mother to pursue music professionally.
Describing his style as roots, rock, reggae, Koulie credits his talent to The Most High Jah and draws inspiration from his grandfather and mother. He expresses a desire to see reggae music reclaim the top spot in the music industry, and his lyrics reflect his passion for a brighter future.
Currently, Koulie is hard at work in the studio, crafting another single that promises to uphold his commitment to originality and positivity in his music. While his professional career may be relatively new, Koulie has already been met with positive feedback, starting from his early performances at local clubs.
Born to a businessman and guitarist father, Richard Glass III, and former Harmony House recording artiste mother, Jackie “Timi” Lynch, who once sang backup for reggae icon Beres Hammond, Koulie comes from a lineage steeped in musical talent. With his conscious reggae sound and meaningful lyrics, Koulie is poised to make a significant mark on the reggae music scene and beyond.
