KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaican sprint hurdler Rasheed Broadbell demonstrated his prowess on the international stage with a stellar performance at the Athletissima, the 11th Wanda Diamond League meeting of the season at Stade Olympique de la Pontaise in Lausanne, Switzerland. Broadbell clinched victory in the 110m hurdles, clocking a commendable 13.10 seconds (-0.1m/s), beating out strong competitors including Olympic champion Grant Holloway.
Broadbell, who is no stranger to success in Lausanne, marked his second win at the venue and his third win on the Diamond League circuit. Holloway secured the second spot with a time of 13.14 seconds, while another Jamaican, Hansle Parchment, finished third in 13.23 seconds.
Although Broadbell’s time was slightly slower than the 13.09 seconds he posted in the finals at the Paris Olympics, he expressed satisfaction with his performance. “The race felt better because I knew I had it after the last hurdle.
