ST ANDREW, Jamaica — Gavin Woolcock, a well-known sound system selector better known as “Mafia,” was tragically shot and killed early Sunday morning in St Andrew.
The 33-year-old, who was associated with the sound system “Xfactor Sound,” was attacked after leaving a popular nightclub where he had been selecting music. According to reports, Woolcock, a resident of St Andrew, was driving away with his girlfriend when he was ambushed by gunmen at a traffic light on Constant Spring Road, near Manor Centre Plaza.
Woolcock was shot in the neck and upper body. He succumbed to his injuries shortly after the attack. The police are investigating the circumstances surrounding the shooting, and no suspects have been identified as of yet.
