SAINT ANNE, Jamaica — The recently opened Poco Loco Floating Bar, the first of its kind in Jamaica, has reportedly been damaged by Hurricane Beryl.
Photos and video obtained by Observer Online after the Category 4 storm showed part of the roof of a bar in Ocho Rios caved in and part of the building collapsed.
The facility opened in June of this year.
Tourism Minister Edmund Bartlett welcomed the $1 million investment into the tourism industry.
Poco Loco was conceived to offer visitors to Jamaica an unforgettable adventure in the crystal clear waters of the Caribbean Sea. Spanning 6,000 square feet, the floating bar was designed to provide an unparalleled experience on the water.
Guests can relax on the spacious deck, soak up the warm rays of the sun and marvel at the stunning surrounding views whilst enjoying cocktails crafted by our expert bartenders.
