Sprinter Kemba Nelson and quarter-miler Anthony Cox
Sprinter Kemba Nelson and quarter-miler Anthony Cox have been added to Jamaica’s Olympic team, according to an announcement by the Jamaica Athletics Association (JAAA).
The addition reportedly took place on Monday, July 8th.
Nelson, who spearheaded the women’s 4x100m relay team that won the silver medal at the 2022 World Athletics Championships in Eugene, Oregon, placed fifth in the women’s 100m at the Japan Athletics Championships held at the National Stadium on Friday, June 28.
Cox, who placed sixth in the men’s 400m on the same day, will replace 800m specialist Kemar Farquharson on the mixed 4x400m relay team.
