NEGRIL, WESTMORELAND — The Negril police have launched an investigation into the gun slaying of 23-year-old Orville McDonald, also known as ‘Town-man,’ from Tank Hill district. The incident occurred at McDonald’s home on Thursday.
According to the Negril police, McDonald was asleep with his 15-year-old girlfriend, a student from Nompriel Road, Negril, when several loud explosions, suspected to be gunshots, were heard. When the shooting ceased, McDonald was found with a gunshot wound to his neck.
Upon arrival, the police discovered McDonald lying on his bed in a pool of blood. He was transported to Savanna-la-Mar Public General Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.
The 15-year-old girlfriend was unharmed during the incident. The police are continuing their investigation to determine the circumstances surrounding the shooting.
