Kingston, Jamaica: Tragedy struck the Kingston 11 community on Friday night as a local musician was gunned down while washing his car. The incident occurred on Penwood Drive around 8:05 pm, leaving the community in shock and mourning.
Victim Identified
The deceased has been identified as 39-year-old Kerage Bailey, a resident of Balmagie Road in Kingston 11. Known for his musical talents, Bailey was reportedly engaged in cleaning his white Nissan Sunny when the fatal attack occurred.
The Incident
According to the police report, Bailey was approached by an unidentified man armed with a handgun. Without warning, the assailant opened fire, striking Bailey in the upper body. In his attempt to flee, Bailey managed to run towards Penny Stone Avenue but eventually collapsed.
Immediate Response
Authorities were promptly alerted and rushed to the scene to assist Bailey, who was then transported to Kingston Public Hospital. Despite undergoing urgent medical treatment, Bailey succumbed to his injuries and was subsequently pronounced dead.
