The Hanover police are investigating the tragic motor vehicle accident that occurred early Friday morning close to the Green Island Police Station, claiming the life of a motorcyclist.
The victim, identified as 47-year-old Horace Campbell from Cauldwell, Hanover, was involved in the fatal collision. Reports indicate that around 12:50 am, Campbell was riding his motorcycle along the Green Island main road. Upon nearing the vicinity of the police station, his motorcycle collided with a motor truck traveling in the same direction.
The impact of the collision caused Campbell to fall onto the hard asphalt road, resulting in severe injuries. Despite being transported to the hospital for urgent medical treatment, Campbell unfortunately succumbed to his injuries.
The investigation into the incident is ongoing, as authorities work to determine the circumstances surrounding the crash.
