WESTMORELAND, Jamaica — In a touching ceremony, hundreds gathered at the Church of God on George Street in Savanna-la-Mar to honor the life and legacy of beloved entertainer Medikk, born Stephanie Debbie Ann Williams. Medikk, whose promising career was tragically cut short at age 29, was laid to rest after a heartfelt thanksgiving service.
Millicent McCurdy, Medikk’s mother, was seen praising the Lord during the service, dressed in a striking black and green dress. The ceremony, held at the Church of God in Jamaica, was a solemn yet celebratory affair, capturing the essence of the community’s collective grief and reverence for Medikk’s contributions to the arts.
Medikk, who grew up in a devout household, began showcasing her musical talents early, penning her first song at just 10 years old. On August 24, 2023, Medikk was reported missing, igniting a multi-parish search effort that ultimately ended in February when her skeletal remains were discovered in a cane field in Wallen, St Catherine.

Following the church service, Medikk’s cremated remains were laid to rest at Honeygan’s Funeral Home & West Palm Memorial Gardens, a final resting place that symbolizes the community’s deep respect and love for her. The event served not only as a point of closure for her family and friends but also as a poignant reminder of her enduring legacy.
