Kingston Industrial Garage (KIG) is set to expand its reach to the western end of Jamaica, with plans to open a new showroom in Montego Bay in the first quarter of next year. This expansion comes as a response to the demand from customers in western Jamaica who currently travel to Kingston for service on their Subaru, Ford, or Jeep vehicles to maintain their warranty.
The new showroom, located in Ironshore, will be smaller than KIG’s headquarters on Spanish Town Road but will offer the same services, sales, and parts for all the company’s brands. Judith Denton, sales and marketing manager at KIG, shared that the decision to expand to Montego Bay was driven by the desire to meet customers halfway and provide exceptional service in the region.
This announcement was made during the launch of KIG’s Subaru ‘Buy One to Win One’ Promotion at their Spanish Town Road showroom. As part of this promotion, 50 lucky Subaru buyers have the chance to win a brand-new 2024 Subaru Crosstrek. The promotion, which started on August 30, will see the winner announced on January 31, 2025.
Denton also mentioned that the promotion aims to officially welcome the Subaru Crosstrek into Jamaica, boost visibility for both the vehicle and the brand, and reward loyal KIG Subaru customers with a special year-end prize. She emphasized that the goal is to show appreciation to those who have remained faithful to the brand.
KIG has been making strides in recent years, with phased renovations to their headquarters in 2014 and the opening of a second showroom in the Cross Roads area in 2015.
