The Jamaican Reggae Racers, Tommi Gore and Senna Summerbell, made history at the ADAC GT4 racing series in Germany on Sunday, securing spots on the winner’s podium. In the first race, they clinched third place, followed by a Top 5 finish in the final race. This marked the first time Jamaica was represented in this prestigious European motorsport event.
Both drivers, 22-year-old Summerbell and 19-year-old Gore, come from families of active race drivers and have now solidified their presence on the international racing scene. Their impressive performance earned Jamaica its first-ever trophies in the ADAC GT4 series.
The decision to participate in the ADAC GT4 Germany was strategic, as the duo recognized the championship’s rapid growth and the exposure it could offer to themselves and their sponsors. The series, which consisted of six race events at renowned tracks in Germany and Austria from April to October 2024, saw the Reggae Racers secure a 14th overall position in the championship standings.
Supported by the Jamaica Tourist Board, S Hotels, and Sandals Resorts, the Reggae Racers are committed to promoting motorsport in the Caribbean and beyond. Their success in Germany has solidified their status as the ‘figurehead of Jamaican motorsport,’ and they look forward to continued growth and success on the racing circuit.
