A man wanted in the United States on charges related to mail fraud, money laundering, wire fraud and other lottery fraud operations has been arrested in the Old Road area of Lucy, Hanover.
The Jamaican fugitive has been identified as 35-year-old Dwayne Anderson, also known in the area as “Blue.”
Anderson was arrested on Thursday following a joint effort between the Jamaica Fugitive Apprehension Team (JFAT), the Lottery Scam Task Force (LSTF) and the Area 1 Operational Support Team.
Anderson was reportedly located at a residence in the area during the investigation sometime between 4 a.m. and 6 a.m. and was arrested.
He was then remanded in custody pending an extradition hearing.
