Florence Hall, Trelawny — Jackson Town and Duncans FC are set to clash in the rescheduled final of the Duncans Complex Trelawny Football Association Major League at the Trelawny Multipurpose Stadium on Sunday at 4pm, both vying for their first-ever title.
Duncans FC, who suffered a defeat in last season’s final, are determined to claim victory this year. Jackson Town, on the other hand, will be making their third final appearance, aiming to finally secure the coveted title.
The final, initially slated for July 7, was postponed due to the passage of Hurricane Beryl.
The winner of Sunday’s final will earn the opportunity to compete against St. James FA Major League champions Granville United in a play-off on July 24 for a place in the Jamaica Football Federation Championship.
In the semi-finals, Duncans FC overcame last season’s champions, Douanvale FC, while Jackson Town triumphed over Coopers Pen. The semi-final losers, Douanvale FC and Coopers Pen, will face off in the third-place play-off, which is scheduled to start at 2pm.
