Govana chats with the audience at Fanatic last week.
With school out, Fanatic is the perfect place for college students to unwind and party until the early hours of the morning.
The event has been dubbed a can’t-miss for young people, with the third performance of The Fanatic being sold out last Friday night at the Lanny Williams Entertainment Center.
Starting as early as 10pm, patrons started trickling in and were greeted with the musical stylings of DJ Stepho who immediately catered to their desire to have fun as he belted out a string of the latest hits to keep the patrons in party mode.
Hosted by the ever popular Fyahman, the event took things to the next level with Kryptic and Chiney K, Heavy D Chromatic, Brush1, DJ Mac and Worl Baba stirring an eclectic melting pot of music that kept attendees dancing non-stop.
Even better were the performances from RajahWild and Govana, who treated the crowd to songs from their respective catalogues of hits.
Fanatic Director Justin Campbell was pleased with the evening’s turnout and spoke of the growth of the event since it was first held two years ago.
“We’re really pleased with the turnout. The event has grown dramatically since it was first held in June 2022 with around 500 participants at the club inside 100 Kingston. This year we attracted over 3,000 visitors, causing traffic congestion on Hope Road leading to the venue,” Mr Campbell said.
He added: “Raja Wilde and Govana’s performance was one of the highlights of the event, thrilling the fans with a string of hits. The audience was delighted, with many buying Fantastic merchandise to take home. The event has grown so much that almost everyone is looking forward to the next one.”
