KINGSTON, Jamaica — Few vehicles and pedestrians were to be seen on the streets of Kingston and Portmore, St. Catherine, on Wednesday morning as Jamaicans waited out the arrival of Hurricane Beryl.
Reports of rain and wind from Portland and St Thomas were in stark contrast to the light rain and no wind experienced by Observer Online on the streets of Kingston and Portmore between 9.30am and 10.30am.

The waves were starting to get rough on the eastern end of Kingston Harbour when Observer Online headed towards Palisadoes Road.

There was also very little surfing going on at Bull Bay in St Andrew at the time our news team visited.
