KINGSTON, Jamaica — In a bid to address concerns about incorrect electricity bills following Hurricane Beryl, the Ministry of Science, Energy, Telecommunications, and Transport has introduced designated email addresses to streamline the complaint process.
Jamaica Public Service (JPS) customers who believe their bills have been inaccurately affected are being urged to submit their complaints to the following newly created email addresses: jpscomplaints@mset.gov.jm for JPS-related concerns and ourcomplaints@mset.gov.jm for issues related to the Office of Utilities Regulation.
“It is truly unfortunate that persons who have already been significantly impacted by the passage of Hurricane Beryl are now being presented with inaccurate electricity bills,” remarked Energy Minister Daryl Vaz. “Our priority is to ensure that every affected customer receives the necessary support and that any issues related to their electricity bills are addressed promptly and fairly.”
To facilitate a swift resolution, customers are advised to include a brief description of their issue along with a copy of their last two electricity bills when submitting their complaints.
The Ministry appreciates the patience and cooperation of all Jamaican citizens as it works diligently to resolve these issues.
