New York, NY — Gospel singer Dymond has triumphantly released her debut album, “God’s Timing,” on August 27, kickstarting her recording career with a powerful blend of worship songs infused with various musical genres.
The album consists of 10 tracks, each penned by Dymond, who began her recording journey merely four months ago. “God’s Timing” showcases the seasoned craftsmanship of George “Brotha George,” a respected gospel producer from Connecticut. Veteran keyboardist Sidney Mills and budding musician-producer Andre “Dretegs” Hawthorne also provided their expertise, enriching the album’s diverse soundscapes.
“It’s exceptional, a big accomplishment. I just started recording in April and now I have an album out, it’s just the work of God,” Dymond expressed to Observer Online. The album emerges as a testament to Dymond’s dedication and rapid progress in her musical endeavors.
“God’s Timing” merges worship themes with a variety of musical styles, from dancehall beats to Revival, creating a unique auditory experience. The album is actively promoted with two highlighted singles, “Almighty God I’m Calling” and “Plank,” each accompanied by visually compelling music videos. Dymond’s inaugural single, “Si mi Yah,” also features prominently on the album.
Dymond, whose birth name is Stephanie Brown, hails from east Kingston and was raised in a fervently religious household. Her musical inspiration draws heavily from renowned American gospel artists like CeCe Winans and the influential Jamaican gospel singers of the 1990s, who transitioned from secular music to lead a local gospel movement.
To promote “God’s Timing,” Dymond is slated to perform in The Bronx on September 28, aiming to bring her spiritually uplifting music to a broader audience.
