Mandeville, Jamaica – The driver of a Mark X car, identified as Roshayne Young of Newhall, Manchester, was shot dead, and a woman was injured in a shooting incident on West Road on Sunday night.
According to preliminary reports, around 9:50 p.m., Young was driving with three passengers when the vehicle was fired upon as it stopped near Knowles Circle. Two passengers reportedly fled into nearby bushes to escape.

Young’s grandmother recounted her last moments with him: “It was just getting dark when he arrived. When I served him dinner I said, ‘eat something and fill your stomach,’ and we chatted for a while. Then he left saying he was going back to the bar.”
She added, “After he left, his brother came to the house and said, ‘Roshane’s dead.’ I said, ‘You’ve got to be kidding me.'”
