Naomi Cowan, the talented recording artiste, has recently completed a successful series of performances across Europe, including her sensational début acts at the Turnpike Reggae Festival in Germany and Rototom Sunsplash in Spain.
Reflecting on her experiences, Cowan shared that the highlight of her performances was the connection she felt with fans who support her musical journey. She expressed gratitude for the warm reception she received from audiences in various European cities, including London, where she also performed at the Nottinghill Carnival and Lila Iké’s Wurl Dance event.
At Rototom Sunsplash, one of Europe’s largest festivals, Cowan had the opportunity to engage with fans and participate in a panel discussion at the ‘Reggae University’. The festival featured a stellar lineup of artists such as Busy Signal, Skip Marley, Beenie Man, and more. The Turnpike Reggae Festival in Germany also provided a platform for authentic Jamaican music to thrive in the east.
Cowan’s second performance at the Nottinghill Carnival was described as a unique and memorable experience. She performed on different stages catering to diverse audiences and collaborated with renowned artists such as Toddla T and Luciano. The presence of Jamaican flags in the audience and the spontaneous singing of the Jamaican National Anthem added to the special moments of the carnival.
While away for her performances, Cowan also utilized her time in the recording booth to prepare new music. She expressed excitement about unveiling her latest creations, which mark the beginning of a new chapter in her musical journey.
Having launched her recording career in 2015, Cowan has steadily risen in the music industry, covering classics and portraying iconic figures such as Marcia Griffiths in the Bob Marley: One Love biopic. Her passion for music and connection with fans continue to drive her success as she ventures into new musical territories.
