A GoFundMe page has been launched to raise funds for the long-term care of gospel dancehall artiste Lieutenant Stitchie, also known as Cleve Laing. Launched by Lt Stitchie’s wife, Sophia Laing, the campaign aims to raise US$100,000 to support the artiste as he battles a severe brain hemorrhage that has left him unresponsive.
In just six days, the campaign has already raised US$12,328 from 268 donations. The money raised will help cover the costs of transferring Lt Stitchie to a long-term care facility where he can receive rehabilitative care.
Lt Stitchie is a well-known figure in both the dancehall and gospel dancehall spheres in Jamaica. With a career that spans over three decades, he has released several successful albums and worked with top producers in the industry.
Mrs Laing is urging those who contribute to the campaign to share the information with others to help spread the word and increase support for Lt Stitchie. She expressed gratitude for the generosity and prayers of those who have already donated, stating that every contribution, no matter how small, will make a difference in helping Lt Stitchie and his family during this difficult time.
As the campaign continues, supporters are encouraged to donate and share the GoFundMe page to help raise awareness and reach the goal of US$100,000 for Lt Stitchie’s long-term care. Your donations and prayers can make a significant impact and bring hope to Lt Stitchie and his family during this challenging journey.
