The Jamaica Classic Car Club (JCCC) continues to attract great interest with its monthly link-up events.
Most recently, a free exhibition was held at SuperValue Town Centre, Manor Park, St Andrew on Sunday 19th May, which was well attended.
“We saw a wide variety of cars, people we hadn’t seen in a long time and our regular members. It was a really good time with a mix of classic, exotic and modern cars. The sights, sounds and environment made it a very special moment for all the car enthusiasts who were there,” JCCC chairman Naresh Potopsin told the Jamaica Observer’s weekly automotive magazine.
The afternoon event attracted a lot of attention, with cars coming and going well into the night, and one captivating vehicle after another appearing.
“There were over 40 cars on display, a mix of classic cars, collectibles and exotics,” Potopsin said.
The list included classics such as a Lotus Elan Plus2, modern Japanese domestic market collector’s cars such as a Honda S2000, a Bentley Continental GTC and even exotics such as a Lamborghini Huracan Spyder.
In addition to the impressive line-up of vehicles, Potopsin thanked the team and the venue for their success.
“We promoted the event through various channels and people seemed to love the venue. Our members were happy to come out of their cars to have a good time with us,” he said.
Next month, the JCCC will visit Hope Gardens on Father’s Day for a more interactive event.
“We have organised a treasure hunt event to make it more exciting and to encourage fathers and children to take part in the activity together. Other participants are welcome,” he said.
