Waterhouse FC striker Atapharoy Bygrave is on a mission to reach new heights in the Jamaica Premier League (JPL) this season. With five goals in five games so far, Bygrave is setting his sights on hitting the 30-goal mark by the end of the season.
The 30-year-old player, who recently joined Waterhouse from Mount Pleasant Academy, was the top scorer in the JPL last season with 13 goals while playing for Dunbeholden. Bygrave credits his excellent form to the support and camaraderie among the players at Waterhouse, as well as his dedication to following the coach’s instructions and trusting the process.
As the sole goal scorer for Waterhouse this season, Bygrave’s latest goal secured a 1-0 victory over Harbour View, marking the team’s fourth win in five games. His impressive performances have also caught the attention of the national team selectors, with Bygrave hoping for a recall to the Reggae Boyz set-up.
In addition to his domestic success, Bygrave had a successful stint with Ho Chi Minh City FC in Vietnam in 2022. Looking ahead, Bygrave is eager to continue performing well for Waterhouse and potentially secure a contract overseas.
With a combination of hard work, determination, and a strong team spirit, Atapharoy Bygrave is well on his way to achieving his 30-goal target and making an impact both locally and internationally.
