CLARENDON, Jamaica – On September 5, 2024, a man identified as Kemar Street, also known by the alias “Buss Head,” has been formally charged with robbery with aggravation and wounding with intent. The 33-year-old labourer, residing in Denbigh Crescent, May Pen, is alleged to have attacked a man on April 30, 2024, during which he purportedly stole a smartphone and a sum of $7,000.
Incident Overview
According to police reports, the altercation occurred while the victim was fetching water at a local catchment in the community. Street allegedly approached the man, brandishing a knife that he drew from his waistband, and demanded the victim’s valuables. When the man refused to comply, Street reportedly resorted to physical violence, kicking the man numerous times, causing him to fall. Subsequently, Street is accused of stealing cash and a smartphone valued at $11,000 from the victim’s pocket.
Police Investigation and Arrest
Following the incident, the victim reported the matter to the police. An investigation was launched by detectives from the Clarendon Policing Division. Street, who was already detained for prior offenses, was part of an identification parade. The complainant identified him, leading to his formal charging for the said crimes.
