ATL Automotive Group is proud to announce that it has been officially appointed as the Regional Master Dealer for Chinese automaker Foton.
“Following a lengthy bidding process, we are excited to begin a new chapter with Photon. This regional appointment will see ATL Automotive oversee Photon’s sales and aftersales operations in Jamaica and the Caribbean. This not only expands our presence, but is fully aligned with our vision to lead the transformation of the industry through our efforts across the region,” said Adam Stewart, Executive Chairman of ATL Automotive Group.
As the regional master dealer, ATL Automotive Group will be responsible for the Foton brand in Jamaica and 12 other Caribbean countries, including Antigua, Aruba, Bahamas, Barbados, Bermuda, Bonaire, Cayman, Curacao, Guyana, St. Lucia, Suriname and Trinidad.
Founded in 1996, Foton has been China’s top commercial vehicle brand for 19 consecutive years, producing a diverse vehicle lineup including large and small trucks, vans, pickup trucks and minibuses. This partnership will enable ATL Automotive Group to introduce a wider range of vehicles to meet the needs of diverse consumers and commercial businesses.
“Our goal is to set new standards in customer service and vehicle performance and to grow our reputation as a leading automotive company in the Caribbean, which stretches from the Bahamas to northern South America. We are especially excited to be expanding our automotive division into Bonaire and Bermuda for the first time,” said Stewart.
The import agreement also establishes a new partnership with Key Motors, the current local dealer for Foton’s medium and heavy commercial vehicles in Jamaica.
“We are pleased to work with ATL Automotive Group with our common goal of strengthening the Foton brand in the region. Our customers can expect our operations to continue uninterrupted in the future and be assured of uninterrupted service. Together, we look forward to expanding the brand’s offering and serving the needs of the diverse region more comprehensively,” said Desmond Panton, Managing Director of Key Motors.
Key Motors will maintain its existing vehicle product portfolio and ATL Automotive Group will take over responsibility as the local dealer for Foton’s light trucks and passenger cars, including pick-up trucks, minibuses and panel vans.
The vehicles are available to order now, with first deliveries scheduled for late August.
