KINGSTON, Jamaica — Jamaican police have apprehended another suspect linked to the horrific mass shooting on Cherry Tree Lane in Four Paths, Clarendon, which resulted in the deaths of eight individuals, including a child, last Sunday.
The suspect, identified as Leighton White, also known as ‘Bonz’ from May Pen in Clarendon, was captured while reporting on condition of bail for a previous shooting case at a local police station. This arrest adds to the growing list of individuals detained in relation to the massacre.
Deputy Commissioner of Police (DCP) Fitz Bailey confirmed that a total of five people have been taken into custody in connection with the event. The apprehension of White marks a significant development in the ongoing investigation as authorities strive to bring all perpetrators to justice.
Earlier on Wednesday, police operations led to the fatal shooting of another suspect believed to be involved in the Cherry Tree Lane killings. This incident took place in Osbourne Store, Clarendon, further intensifying the scrutiny around the series of tragic events.
