Featuring an enviable line-up of Jamaica’s most talented disc jockeys, the all-white party will be the setting for festival nights one and two.
KINGSTON, Jamaica — Enveloped in luxury and with a dress code encouraging attendees to dress in their best, Reggae Sumfest’s premium all-white event is back. Once again taking over Pier One in Montego Bay, St. James, the highly anticipated event is renowned for delivering top-class music and unforgettable experiences.
Featuring an enviable line-up of Jamaica’s most talented disc jockeys, the all-white party will be the setting for festival nights one and two.
The All-White Party will take place on Tuesday, July 16. The event begins at 7pm.
Reggae Sumfest director and founder Robert Russell emphasised the importance of the event.
“This is one of the biggest and most anticipated events in the festival’s lineup in over 30 years and will be held at one of Montego Bay’s most iconic entertainment centres, Pier One,” he said. “You can expect the best music, food, drinks and entertainment from some of the best people dressed in white.”
Russell added that the All White event will continue to provide world-class entertainment outside of festival nights one and two of the Sumfest weekend.
Veteran DJ Narity, who is using an all-white console, expressed his excitement.
“I think the theme and location have a lot to do with the fact that All White is one of the most popular events in the Sumfest lineup. We’re usually able to cover genres of music that don’t necessarily get featured at other events, but are curated to highlight Sumfest performers. Also, our DJ lineup is always a great group of professionals who play well together with the sole purpose of getting patrons dancing all night long,” Nariti said.
He added: “This will probably be my third or fourth time hosting an all-white event and it’s always a fun experience. We (DJs) are here to welcome guests into the Sumfest experience and help set the pace for the week’s activities.”
DJ Courtney, who is scheduled to perform on July 16th, said: “I’ve done three all-white events. It’s gotten bigger every year and the audience enjoys it more. There’s a diverse range of musical tastes, a large international audience and I consider myself an established international DJ, so I’ll be performing as usual.”
ZJ Liquid, who will be making his first appearance at the all-white event, expressed his enthusiasm: “Expect a fun night with not only music but also atmosphere. I’ll be interacting with people, reading the crowd’s reactions and delivering that ‘Liquid’ experience. Thank you to Sumfest for asking me to play All White at Pier One. I’ve always heard about this event and I plan to release my record there. Pier One is my favorite place and the lineup always speaks volumes.”
Promising top-notch entertainment, a fantastic venue and a night full of dancing and revelry, the Appleton Estate All White Party is set to be one of the highlights of Reggae Sumfest 2024 and set a high standard for future festival events.
