Clarendon, Jamaica — In a tragic incident that has left the local community in shock, a 22-year-old security guard has been charged with the murder of his co-worker in November 2023.
Orlando Gayle, known by the nickname ‘Lando,’ resides in Fern Crescent, Hayes, May Pen, Clarendon. He has been charged with the stabbing death of 22-year-old Ainsley Hall, who was also his colleague at the same security company.
According to reports from the May Pen police, the fatal altercation occurred at approximately 7:10 am on the specified date. Both Gayle and Hall were present at the company barracks when a physical confrontation erupted between them. During the altercation, Gayle allegedly used a knife to stab Hall multiple times in his upper body before fleeing the scene.
Emergency services were immediately contacted, and Hall was rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, he was pronounced dead upon arrival. Authorities later apprehended Gayle, and he has since been charged with murder.
The police have yet to finalize Gayle’s court date. The incident has raised concerns about workplace violence and has sparked conversations about the need for conflict resolution mechanisms in professional settings.
